Shortcutz Berlin starts again this week! After a short break, we are back with a great selection of short films for you to watch in our cosy venue – LAGARI.

The first round of competition shorts of the month of March includes the following shorts:

Short #1: “Üto”, by David Buob

Synopsis: On Utö, the southernmost inhabited island in Finland, an unusual love triangle is taking shape. What’s the difference between dance moves sparked by joy and wild movements driven by rage?

Short #2: “Blur Blue“, by Sonja Polligkeit

Synopsis: In a blur blue second in an aquarium, a boy and a girl have a crush on each other. What if their reality and dreams built up a highly complex cloud of wishes and boundaries?

More info about Sonja’s work on her website here.

The Special Guest of the evening is Matthias Groll, the programmer of “Berlin Shorts” at interfilm Berlin.

The Guest Short is “Aleyna – Little Miss Neukölln“, by Stepan Altrichter

Synopsis: Aleyna is 11, she is Turkish and lives in Berlin, Neukölln. She’s a normal girl with a lot of self confidence and she knows what she wants. She wants to overcome her „nervousity“ and show everyone her talent at her first public

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!

And don’t forget: the entrance is free!!
