Short #1: “Hinterhof” by Ana-Felicia Scutelnicu

Synopsis: Hinterhof (Backyard) tells the story of 3 Russian immigrants in Berlin. The 40-year-old Clarissa tries to escape her loneliness by secretly taking part in the life of a couple living next door. When they separate, Clarissa gets involved and has to make a tough decision.

Short #2: “Meet me in Memoriam” by Alina Trebbin
2010, 5.18 min
Synopsis: A viewer adds new layers of meaning to an unknown photo just as it enters his own body of experience, a process of quiet exchange that implies more than mere vision.

This Week’s Guest Short: “Anna Blume” by Vessela Dantcheva
Germany/Bulgaria 2009, 9 min
Synopsis: Anna Blume is a visual poetry about the lust of a man chasing a woman. The story takes on a surreal journey dictated by the mind of the poet. Lust and ingestion, disguised in love, drive the two characters to an end where love turns to be a very lonesome and strange place. The film is based on and inspired by the emblematic love poem from 1919 “An Anna Blume” by Kurt Schwitters.

Our Special Guest for this week is Cristina Marx, Festivals & Distribution – Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen (HFF) “Konrad Wolf”. She will be prestenting “Dígame” (Tell me) by Josephine Frydetzki.

You will find us, as every week, at the Filmkunst BarReichenberger Straße 133 in Kreuzberg, the session starts at 8:30 pm and the screenings at 9 pm. Entrance is and will remain free. We look forward to seeing you there!
