Over the years Donna Sharpe has directed and produced over ten critically acclaimed documentary films for the BBC, and researched and assisted in the production of over thirty more. Her series of awards includes a National Television Award for “Who Do You Think You Are?“, an EMMY award for “People’s Century“, a BAFTA award for “Trouble at the Top” and a RTS award “The Money Programme“.
Before becoming a consultant for the Raindance Film Festival in Belrin, Donna Sharpe has run film projects in Equatorial Guinea, Nepal, South Africa, Colombia, Argentina and India, as well as working extensively in the USA. In addition to an M.A. in Creative Writing from University of East Anglia, she also holds a B.A. Hons. in History from University College London and has taught as a Guest Lecturer on the M.A. Scriptwriting courses at UEA and the London Film School.
